Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can get it out or have it deleted. We collect as little as the product needs to work.

What we collect

Account data: your name, email address and password. The password is stored hashed by our authentication provider — we never see it.

Dog data: what you tell us about your dog, such as name, breed, age, weight and energy level, plus the missions completed and your progress history.

Photos: if you add a photo of your dog, we store the image file. Your browser resizes and re-encodes the photo before it is uploaded, which removes the embedded camera metadata — including GPS coordinates. We never receive the location where a photo was taken.

Payment data: your subscription status and a customer identifier from Stripe. We never receive or store your card number.

Technical data: standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, kept by our hosting provider for security and debugging.

Why we use it

To create and secure your account, and to log you in.

To generate missions suited to your dog and to keep your progress and achievements.

To take payment, manage your subscription, and meet accounting and tax obligations.

To keep the service working and investigate abuse or technical problems.

We do not sell your data. On the free plan, Google serves advertising in the app and may use cookies to choose and measure those ads; we do not share your dog data or your account details with advertisers.

Who processes it for us

Supabase — database and authentication.

Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. Stripe handles card details directly and under its own privacy policy.

Vercel — hosting and delivery of the application.

Google — advertising on the free plan, through Google AdSense, and audience measurement. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, under its own privacy policy.

These providers act on our instructions and may store data outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Cookies and advertising

We use what the app needs to function: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and a cookie that remembers your language.

On the free plan, Google AdSense serves the ads you see and may set cookies or read device identifiers to select them, limit how often you see the same one, and measure results. Premium accounts are not shown ads, and the ad script is not loaded for them at all.

You can turn off personalized advertising in your Google account at adssettings.google.com, and manage cookies in your browser settings. Turning them off does not remove the ads, only the personalization.

How long we keep it

Your account and dog data are kept for as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings. Doing so cancels any active subscription, deletes your photos from our storage, and permanently erases your profile, your dogs and your mission history.

Records we must keep for tax and accounting reasons, such as invoices, are retained for the period the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Deletion is also available directly in Settings, without asking us.

Write to wogipet@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can make that request about you.

If you believe we mishandled your data, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or — if you live in Quebec — to the Commission d’accès à l’information.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, access to the database is restricted by row-level rules so one account cannot read another account’s data, and administrative access is limited and separately authenticated.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

Wogi is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child gave us data, contact us and we will delete it.

If you are in Canada

Wogi is operated from Brazil, but most of our subscribers are in Canada, so we handle personal information in line with PIPEDA (the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and, for residents of Quebec, with Law 25.

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at Wogi is the founder, reachable at wogipet@gmail.com. Write to that address to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, or receive it in a portable format.

We send you only the emails the service needs to work, such as confirming your address, receipts and notices about your subscription. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking first, and any commercial email we send will identify us and carry a one-click unsubscribe, as CASL requires.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled your personal information, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will notify you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
